dinner w/mom vs. dinner w/dad

dinner with mom:

Mom takes only a few minutes and besides the surprising full-mouth sneeze, rarely does a drop of food go anywhere but Hadley's mouth.

dinner with dad:

Dad squirts food all over himself as he opens the baby food container, then sets the rest on the high chair tray as he attempts (unsuccessfully) to clean himself up. Meanwhile Hadley grabs the container and spills the remainder of the food all over herself, her high chair and the floor. Much to Bogey's delight, Dad decides it is easier to let the dog clean everyone up and just start over.

felt bliss

Kirsten, my partner in crafting crime showed me these card table playhouses and decided that she and I needed to make them. I think I have gotten carried away so far. I still have a TON to do, but here's the progress...

thank you jillian michaels

On a whim today I decided to try on a bunch of my summer clothes (spring fever, I guess) which we are nearing two years since I fit into them since last summer I was how do you say it...JUMBO. Anyways, they all fit! Hooray!! I would like to thank Jillian Michaels and her 30 Day Shred video. I would also like to thank Wal-Mart for running out of Mini Chips Ahoy when they were on sale so I couldn't buy anymore.

Now, I just need an awesome summer vacation in the works...any suggestions?

one down, bunches to go

Christmas is fun again...but I am sure it will only get funner (yes, funner) as Hadley gets a little older and actually gets it. I didn't even wrap one single gift this year for under our tree...lazy. Oh well.
I got two things off my wish list which was fun. It doesn't matter that I had to buy them both for myself 2 days before Christmas at the Robert's midnight madness sale because Kirk is possibly one of the world's worst present getters...even though he will deny it. However, he does admit that whenever I tell him I want things that it goes right in one ear and out the other. Thanks. There is one thing in the history of "us" that he got that was all on his own and that I totally love and that is my camera strap, so whenever I am left somewhat disappointed on birthdays, anniversaries, Christmases, I always look back to the good old camera strap. He's in for it now though, he has a whole new Holiday to contend with...Mother's Day.

Had got all sorts of noise making light flashing contraptions that she loves and that I have all the songs of stuck in my head. Particularly one about wanting a purple, applesauce eating, giraffe named Hadley...

Guess that sums it up.

tis the season

First visit with Santa and custom made stocking...Had's first Christmas is starting out right.

I originally planned to make her stocking, and I did make it, but I also HATED it and the opening was bite size so... I turned to Etsy and had one custom knit for her. I love it, the colors are just what I asked for and it's so cute and original.

Santa was at RC Willey Saturday and you could bring your own camera and get free pics. Being the frugal person I am (ha), I hauled Kirk over there near the end of St. Nick's shift and was delighted to find there was only one (screaming) little girl ahead of us in line. Had didn't really know what to think, she wasn't really phased by the whole event at all and Santa forgot to even ask her what she wanted for Christmas... Maybe that first tooth that is working it's way in on the bottom.
Maybe now I should get around to wrapping some gifts...maybe.

what i love right now:

  1. Jell-o pudding cups (chocolate/vanilla swirls) with just as much cool whip on top
  2. Hey, Soul Sister by Train
  3. All things mustard yellow, burnt orange, and pea green (like a crazy kitchen from the 70's?)
  4. Feeding Had her cereal and baby food (too fun)
  5. The lighting from the Christmas tree
  6. Body Jam class at Gold's Gym. I think I am finally getting the hang of it, but it's still no surprise I was NEVER a dancer.
  7. The smell of Bogey. I realize this may be gross to most people, but my crazy niece would agree...right Mace?
  8. Even though I don't have an 8th one, I have to list it because I hate odd numbers... (O.C.D.)
